Just a couple of quick updates…

On Sunday (7/24/11), we had 72 folks on our buses!!!  The new route is doing well, and we had 27 on that bus. Two boys, both eleven years old, came to know the Lord today!

Last Friday night,  we were in the city doing some errands.  Our car started getting hot again.  (It was the head gasket that we had to change a couple weeks ago.)   On this evening, it was about 7:30 pm.  We were quite concerned that we wouldn’t make it home, when suddenly we ran over a pot hole, which was more like a man hole which resulted in two  flat tires!!!

The Lord sent help.  Two guys who stopped and offered their help. ( Brooklyn said one of them was an angel, but Celina said no he wasn’t, because he used God’s name in a wrong way.)  Very soon, they got our tires off and took Samuel and Joseph to another part of town to get some other spares. They returned and got it running again at almost 10pm!!

Samuel said that the driver was drunk but very friendly. He kept wanting to use his English. He was a police officer and was on off duty. We bought both of the men a late supper.  They refused to take any money but took the tracts we gave them.  Perhaps God knows that they needed the salvation tracts.   Pray they will read them and come to know the Lord someday.  God does work in a mysterious ways!!

On Sunday, I was taking my bus workers to their station when suddenly I felt that my suburban was running weird. I thought I had a flat but was able to get back to church safe and sound.  Late that Sunday evening, I was visiting the Rolstons.  It was just the girls and I who went as  Samuel and Joseph  were very ill with a fever and chills.    On the way home from the Ralstons at 11pm, my back tire came off the axle!!!  I couldn’t go anywhere!! I called Samuel ( he was in bed ) and he came on a 4 wheeler to get the girls and I. The next morning he went to check the car and found no nuts. All the lug nuts were gone!! They had all come off!!  God protected us!!  He must had HIS hands on the tire and found the perfect right spot for me to break down.

It is a blessing to know that God is watching over us and is meeting our every need.  Thank you for your past as well as continued prayers for our family and for our ministry!
