One of our buses is still not running. We might have to take it all the way to the city. Pray that we will find the right mechanic and the right parts. It will be a BIG headache to take the bus to the big city, but we have not choice.
As for our son Joseph, he is well. Just lately though he seems to be a little more tired. He is a growing boy. He loves to eat and enjoys his sleep (during his summer break especially). I will be taking him on Tues. to do another blood test.
Saturday’s Bus Visitation went very well. We had about 20 visitors in yesterday’s morning service.
Let me share about a special dear friend who really reminds me of my dad. A man who so NEEDS THE LORD but searches only in alcohol. Don Jorge is a town drunk. He was a teacher for more than 40 years and retired about seven years ago. Three months ago, I was able to lead his wife to the Lord.
Last Monday, at Bro. Jose’s dad funeral, Don Jorge was there. His wife was very embarrassed when her drunk husband yelled at me and said many inappropriate words to me in front of a multitude of people. People were there to mourn, and many times (in this culture) there will be 2 or 3 drunkards hanging around the place. Feeling so sorry for him and his wife, Samuel and Luis took him home by strong hands. All the way home on the cobblestone of Sabanagrande, he would keep repeating those words to me. I really wasn’t embarrassed much. As a matter of fact, I responded to him by saying, “I love you too. and we all want you to get saved. We are praying for you.”
At the Tuesday evening service, we prayed for Don Jorge. Five men prayed, and they all mentioned his name. On Thursday during visitation, Samuel and Luis visited him again. Samuel spoke to him again about the Lord. He had previously been to Don Jorje’s house on about 5 different occasions. PRAISE THE LORD: On this evening, Don Jorge prayed and asked the Lord to be his Savior. We covet your prayers for him. He so needs GOD”s help and strength.
TODAY’S PRAISE: Don Jorge and his wife were both in church yesterday. Please pray for this dear couple. We would love to see them get baptized and serve the Lord with us.
PRAYER REQUEST: One of our boys that goes to our school, his uncle has been sick with stomach cancer and died last night. He was 60 yrs old. We are not sure about his faith. Mainor, our school student and our bus kid, has been so faithful in attending our church. He has prayed and prayed for his family. About late February, I was able to show his mom the plan of salvation. Her name is Irma Diaz, and she did accept the Lord as her Savior. Please pray for this family.
I praise the Lord daily for my kids. They are good kids. They are so willing to serve. We will miss them when they grow up and are gone. The years fly by, and that time will be here before we know it I am glad we are making good memories as a family!!!
