Before the first bell sounded, there was last-minute work to be done.

We all worked to open the many  boxes of ABEKA books and materials which arrived from Pensacola Christian College in Florida USA.  They had to be counted, sorted, and placed in the proper classrooms.

Boxes and more boxes of ABEKA Books!

A much-needed project that was accomplished in time for the start of school was the installation of a washer and dryer for the teachers.

The teachers will greatly benefit from this addition!

A fun project was that of building a seat around our large tree out in the school yard that will be enjoyed by both teachers and students!

Working to make a seating area outside

And finally, the first day of school was upon us.   The New Life Bilingual School doors opened to 73 students on Wednesday, August 17.  The first day  went well.  We are thankful for our  73 students and are praying for that number to increase to 75.

Our bus transportation brought in 11 students.  We need for that number to increase so that the bus route is profitable.

Yes, we have been very busy, but it is so very rewarding!

Please pray along with us for a great school year at NLBS.
