OUR TRAVELS

(NOTE:  Please click on pics to enlarge them for a better view!)

In September, Julie and Celina made a trip to Singapore to visit Julie’s parents. Her brother who lives in Australia was also home during that time. Here are some photos made during the trip:

Can you see the hotels, all in one? It’s a gigantic sight in Singapore!!

Celina and her grandma at The Garden of the Bay.  The Hodges children call their Chinese grandma “Ah Ma”.

Three generations: Julie’s mom Lee, Julie, and Julie’s daughter Celina

This is the latest hotel in Singapore, The Marina Bay Hotel. In top of the hotel, there is a boat. It’s also has a pool, restaurants and lodgings.

Watching an elephant show at the zoo!!

Going through some things at my parent’s house in Singapore, I thought it was interesting to find a letter from PCC dated July 17, 1989. Little did I I know that 4 years later in 1993 on July 17 that I would marry Samuel Thomas Hodges whom I would meet at PCC!  Definitely, it was God’s direction and blessing upon our lives!

In mid October, we spent several days in Panama attending and ministering in a Family Conference. Our kids stayed on the church property with the teachers and had a good time. At the conference which was held on a Monday through Wednesday night, Samuel preached twice in the Sunday morning service and once in the evening service. We taught a 30 minute lesson on Monday night. We were in the City of David, Panama for the conference and then traveled to Panama City for an over-night visit before returning home to Sabanagrande. It was a great time of refreshment for us both.

OUR MINISTRY AT HOME

Baptizing a new believer is always a special blessing for our church

Another young girl in about to follow the Lord in baptism

“Dia de los Chinos!” Chinese Day. The Sunday School kids all received a red packet. It had 25 cents and some candy in it.

Our two interns: Adam & Alexander. They are in their third semester with us

It’s amazing how time flies. In just a matter of days, Americans will be voting in their presidential election. Even though we are in Honduras, our Honduran  church prays every Tuesday night for America. At about the same time as the U.S. election, Honduras will also have elections. Please pray for us here as we pray for you there.

We pray this update has been useful in catching you, our prayer warriors, up on our ministry and lives here in Sabanagrande.  We covet your continued prayers.

For the cause,
Bro. Sam, Miss Julie, Joseph, Celina, and Brooklyn Hodges
