The Youth Outreach Missions (YOM) Team is set to arrive in Honduras on Saturday.  Mr. Trevin Houk is once again the leader of the team to Honduras, and here are his thoughts:

Our flight leaves at 7:00 am from New Orleans and, for international flights on COPA and from New Orleans, we have to be there 3 hours before the flight. You do the math and that means we are to be at the airport at 4:00 am on Saturday. Yikes! That’s crazy!! We are staying at a hotel that has 24 hour shuttle service so we will get to find out how cheerful the early morning drivers are. On our flight to Honduras we go through Houston and then are to land in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, around 12:15 pm, Saturday, June 4.

Here are items that we would greatly appreciate your prayers for over the next 24 to 48 hours:

1. Travel safety for the team members flying in from Montana, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky.
2. Travel safety for the team member driving in from northern Alabama.
3. Travel safety for the team member flying from Atlanta straight to Tegucigalpa.
4. Travel safety for the team members and luggage assistants (non team members that we are extremely grateful for!!) driving over from Pensacola.
5. Smooth processing through customs and all check points.
6. Travel safety for the actual flights to Honduras on Saturday.
7. That all suitcases (checked bags, carry-ons, personal items) would arrive intact and with everything in good shape. We have over 50 total pieces of luggage!
8. Safety for the Hodges in getting to Tegucigalpa to pick us up.
9. Safety for all of us back to Sabanagrande and the church/school property.
10. Smoothness in setting up for the Fun Fair on Saturday afternoon and evening.
11. Many people to attend and hear the gospel on Sunday for church and the Fun Fair.
Thank you so much for your monetary and prayer support already. We look forward to our trip and to being able to share how the Lord provides for us and how He is able to work in and through our team while we are in Honduras working with the Hodges.

In Christ,

2016 Honduras team

MEANWHILE…..  Back in Sabanagrande, the Hodges are getting ready for the Team to arrive.  They have been working on getting food and supplies in to feed a hungry bunch during their days of ministry in Sabanagrande.
